Expedition & Adventure Ships

Expedition cruise travel for tourists to Antarctica began in 1966. Cruise travel to Arctic Spitsbergen began a little later in 1972. Since then the availability of cruises to these truly beautiful and unique destinations has grown. To get to explore these destinations safely and in comfort specialised ships are selected.

All Expedition and Adventure cruise ships we work with are very comfortable passenger vessels designed for smooth sailing in the icy Antarctic and Arctic waters. They have ice-strengthened hulls, comfortable accommodations and services. These ships offer a variety of cabins for quad, triple, twin and double share as well as larger superior or suite cabins. The vessels have other amenities such as roomy public areas, observation lounges and bars, gift shops, and some have fitness facilities.

Adventure vessels have all of these facilities as well as additional adventure options including camping, snowshoeing, sea kayaking, mountaineering and scuba diving. These ships also run specialised trips including photography and walking tours.

Every cruise is accompanied by expert naturalist guide and other specialists, including geology, oceanography, glaciology, and history to ensure that you fully appreciate the extraordinary sights you will see and locations you will visit.
